Brand Identity design for scuba diving school: Anchored Diving Institute

 
 

Introducing the brand and logo design for Anchored, a Miami-based diving school that offers PADI and NAUI certifications, as well as private and group snorkeling and scuba diving tours.

This logo features a customized font, with several letters manipulated to create something truly unique. The icon in the “o” abstractly represents a compass, without being too literal, lending to a luxury design that speaks for itself.

The vision behind the typography pairings was inspired by something every open-water diver has dreamed about — finding treasure on the bottom of the sea floor. The historic feel of the heading font was influenced by first-century Roman inscriptions. This intentional selection subconsciously creates connection by inviting scuba divers to picture themselves exploring an ancient shipwreck, stumbling across fragments of amphora, or discovering coins peaking out from beneath the sandy bottom.

The color palette is inspired by the ocean. Complimentary shades of blue represent various depths, and make a statement against the calming sandy beige found on the sea floor.
