Product photography for Not Perfect Linen: men’s summer collection

A cult-favorite and for good reason, Not Perfect Linen is a slow fashion brand known for their commitment to sustainability and effortless style. Long known for their women’s clothing, their recently-launched Men’s Collection now includes permanent warm weather essentials.

Not Perfect Linen's men's clothing is ideal for building a versatile travel wardrobe. Made with 100% OEKO-TEX certified European linen, this collection features high-quality linen pieces that provide both comfort and longevity while on the move. These garments can be easily mixed and matched to create more pairings with fewer clothes, making it effortless to travel light without compromising on style.

Why linen is the best fabric to travel with

  • Breathable: Linen's breathable properties make it perfect for keeping cool in warmer environments, ensuring a comfortable experience throughout your adventures. It allows air to circulate around the body, keeping the wearer cool and comfortable while in the heat and humidity of tropical climates. Additionally, linen is highly absorbent, capable of wicking away moisture, which helps in keeping the skin dry.

  • Moisture-wicking: Unlike synthetic materials that can trap sweat and become uncomfortable, linen is renowned for its exceptional moisture-wicking properties and allows air to flow through the fabric which aids in moisture evaporation. Highly absorbent, it keeps the skin dry and you cool and comfortable during hot and humid conditions.

  • Durable: A strong fiber, linen is known for its durability, becoming softer and stronger with each wash. With proper care, linen garments and linens can last for many years, reducing the need for frequent replacements. It also becomes softer with each wash.

  • Hypoallergenic: This fabric is suitable for sensitive skin as it resists bacteria and allergens.

  • Environmentally friendly: Linen is an eco-friendly fabric due in large part to it’s sustainable production process. Made from the flax plant, it requires less water and pesticides compared to other materials like cotton. Additionally, almost all parts of the flax plant are used, leaving little to no waste.

NPL Men’s Short-Sleeve Quebec Shirt

The Not Perfect Linen men’s Quebec shirt is a relaxed and breathable linen shirt features short sleeves. It also comes in a long-sleeve variant for cooler months or if you prefer to roll up the selves. With its loose fit, it can be worn as a standalone shirt or layered as an overshirt, providing comfort, style and versatility. The traditional point collar and button-front closure and front chest pocket gives it a classic look, while the relaxed shoulders and round hem create a subtle laid-back vibe.

How does this shirt fit? I took my usual size in NPL shirts, and it’s spot on. This shirt will be a workhorse day-to-day and as part of my travel wardrobe.

NPL Men’s Darwin Shorts

The Not Perfect Linen Darwin shorts are a relaxed option for hot summer days. The elastic on the sides and in the back ensure comfortable movements, making them a versatile choice whether lounging at home, or wearing on your destination’s walking or food tour. A flat front with a zip fly and button closure offers a secure fit that look more streamlined and elevated than your casual drawstring shorts. Front and side patch pockets and belt loops, adds practicality to the design.

How do these shorts fit? I followed the size guide as this was a new-to-me style, and they fit really well. I took my usual size in bottoms. The zipper fly and button closure are details I really appreciate, for days I want to look more put-together than drawstring shorts can offer.

Color: Olive

Customizations: Not Perfect Linen offers up to three adjustments free of charge, to help you get the perfect fit. Next time I order these shorts (and I will!) I’ll ask to have the inseam shortened about two inches, so it doesn’t fall so low on my knee.

Whether you're discovering a vibrant city or unwinding at the beach, Not Perfect Linen's men's clothing is ideal year-round for travelers seeking comfort and sophistication on their adventures.
